WV Drive 8th Grade Girls Takes Over Huntington Classic Tournament

Over the weekend at the Huntington Classic held at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, The West Virginia Drive AAU 8th grade girls from Barboursville, WV were 4-0. On Saturday they played two games which if they won, they would have to come back on Sunday and play for the championship. Winning is what they did. In game one, they played SO Magic and the score was 54-19. In game two, they played the Ohio Knights and that score was 67-8.

Sunday in the semi-finals, they had to play the Rising Stars from Charleston, West Virginia. The score of that game was 44-24 which WV Drive won and they moved on to the championship game later on that day. In that game, they played the WV Thunder and that score was 46-27. On that note, the girls took home the championship! All teams that participated in the tournament did a great job and these girls play their hearts out. All of their future in the game of basketball is bright especially if they stick to it. These tournaments held by the Girls' Basketball Association is just as good as watching a WNBA or NCAA Women's college basketball game! Keep up the good work girls! Stay tuned.....
