GBA Basketball Association

A tournament held in Cambridge Ohio in 2002 led to the creation of the Girls Basketball Association. Within the ten years, they have grown to be the largest girls basketball association in the mid-west. Tne GBA host tournaments all over the states of Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Their goal is to provide girls starting at the age of nine and up basketball skills throughout the spring and summer. The GBA is known for providing family - friendly tournaments which attracts teams from different states including Canada to participate.

Since 2003, the GBA has become one of the top associations for girls basketball. They now run tournaments every weekend from the month of March until June. Most weekends have between 170 to 200 teams playing throughout Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. The season ends with a yearly national tournament held in Cincinnati, Ohio. The tournament is for four days which is fun for the whole family fhat includes a day at the King's Island Amusement Park. If you have not experienced a tournament in the GBA, I highly recommend that you go see one. These girls are so amazing! It makes you feel like you are watching future college and WNBA players. If you are in the states of Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania and would like your team to participate, please refer to the website which is www.gbabasketball.com for further information. They are holding the 3rd annual Huntington Classic this weekend at Marshall University. Go check it out!!! Stay tuned for more updates.
